About
us

At Rincón del Mangle, we combine rustic architecture with the natural environment to offer you a unique space of tranquility and comfort. Surrounded by mangroves, forest and sea, our lodge is a refuge where every detail invites you to rest and connect with nature.

Our inspiration

The construction of our lodge is a work designed to merge the best of two worlds, uniting traditional elements of Quindío and the Caribbean Coast. We have chosen materials that speak of our roots, such as guadua and guaduilla, which connect us with the mountains of the Coffee Belt, and palm and lata, which are symbols of the coast. This blend of materials not only reflects our identity, but also honors our ancestors and the land that welcomes us. In addition, this construction has been possible thanks to the joint work with the workers of the area, who, with their knowledge and effort, have been the driving force and backbone of this project. Without their dedication, this dream would not have become a reality, and every corner of the lodge would bear their stamp and their history. Thus, we have managed not only to build a space, but also to unite two cultures and a community that has been essential every step of the way.

The beach is located approximately 800 meters from our B&B lodge. You have two ways to get there: The first option is to walk along a trail that winds through the beautiful tropical dry forest, where you can observe local wildlife, including sloths, and then cross through the impressive mangroves, home to a wide variety of birds. If you choose this walk, it's about a 15-minute stroll, although if you take the time to enjoy the scenery and observe the animals, it could take a little longer. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes that can get wet, as puddles can form on the path depending on the tide.

The second option is to take a water taxi that crosses the marsh and will take you to the center of the beach in just 5 minutes. This service costs approximately $3,000 COP per person. If you prefer the convenience of ground transportation, you can also opt for a motorcycle taxi, tuk-tuk, or car that will get you there in just 5 minutes (approximate cost between $3,000 and $10,000 depending on the chosen mode of transport).
Whichever option you choose, we guarantee that your access to the beach will be easy and safe.

We look forward to welcoming you to enjoy the tranquility of the sea!
